Reference: SW004749-ML2-1 My client, a UK based online luxury tour operator, is currently recruiting for an Aviation & Operations Executive with at least 2 years Tour Operator Management experience and who is passionate about the travel industry, to join their dynamic team based in TechnoPark Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Commercial Requirements: Experience in Amadeus Minimum 2 years experience as a Tour Operator management Attention to detail and the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Experience in Airline ticketing, regulations and fare filing. Computer literate (Word and Excel proficient) Knowledge of working with Anteeo (TMS) system Knowledge of NDC Luxury travel knowledge of the Caribbean, Europe, Arabia and Indian Ocean and the key airline players in those regions will be an advantage Excellent communicator Passionate about travel PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/QUALITIES REQUIRED A self-starter, highly motivated and innovative, with plenty of energy and initiative Excellent attention to detail Analytical, fact-based approach A team player, supporting Reservations and Operations at all times Commercially astute, able to identify best airfares for promotion at any given time and communicate well to rest of company Well-organised, able to prioritise based on commercial priorities, a forward thinker with strong commercial skills. Flexible approach and willing attitude The Role & Key Responsibilities: Supporting all airline ticketing functions and aviation processes - complying with airline rules, regulations and deadlines. Working closely with your co-aviation Executive, Head of Commercial, Head of Sales and Operations and Customer Services Manager to make certain we have seamless inter-departmental procedures in place to ensure compliance with each airline's fare rules, ticketing deadlines and terms and conditions. Ensuring that all BSP reconciliation is up to date along with refunds and ADM / ACM queries. Ensuring that the reservations team is 100% supported with Amadeus queries. Covering all aviation duties and queries including fares, cancellations, schedule changes, name changes, refunds, flight problems and tricks. Must be confident in clearly reading and interpreting all fare rules and regulations. To assist with the operations team with aviation queries including daily departures, seating, baggage, check-in and other such queries. To provide training regarding aviation for other departments, as and when required. Operational responsibilities will include processing booking confirmations and invoices, liaising with overseas ground handlers, and assisting with other duties in the department as required and agreed with the Operations Manager. Support the wider team with regards to airline led initiatives and ideas that will further improve company's trading position and sales. When required, provide stats to the management team to ensure that we are all fully briefed at all times of our performance with partner airlines.
