Our client is seeking a team player with extensive experience managing complex payrolls. You will not just be overseeing the process; you will need to get your hands dirty and get stuck into the details. Ideally, you will have experience working within an agile environment. You must have the following competencies: Worked with different business units Worked with different pay structures Worked with different pay rules Over 12 different types of payrolls to process with their own complexities Monthly salaries Factory – weekly paid Factory monthly paid Shifts – various shifts (3shifts in 24 hours) Must have worked with shifts and time and attendance systems Understand the different structures/options within a pension fund Advanced knowledge of VIP and Excel (VLOOKUP's and Tables) Smart reporting experience or ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) is a reporting tool that can be trained as long as they have the expertise to pull reports out of VIP into an Excel format Understand BCEA and keep informed of changes to Tax Legislation Liaising with the Union regarding deductions etc and completion of withdrawal forms Overseeing the Medical aid / Retirement reconciliation Generation and preparation of management reports Preparation of payroll summaries and month-end reporting Relevant diploma/degree would be highly advantageous Min 3-5 years of experience in running large payrolls Manufacturing sector experience essential SAGE300 & VIP Premier processing and reporting is essential Advanced knowledge of Sage300 and VIP Premier Payroll and ESS Systems Advanced Excel ability (VLOOKUP's and Tables) ODBC reporting Excellent knowledge of payroll and legislative requirements Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration. Solid experience in working with shift permutations and overtime calculations
