To support with the Planning, Co-ordination & Administrative functions of inbound logistics for Feed. Role Purpose: To support with the Planning, Co-ordination & Administrative functions of inbound logistics for Feed. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain/ Business Administration Required Experience: 1 – 2 years experience within procurement environment Purchasing experience within an FMCG environment would be advantageous Key Responsibilities: Administration Updating commodity prices daily. Keep track of daily commodity trades – maize, soya, soya oil and FOREX. Update relevant sheets and allocate to correct periods. Accuracy and attention to detail with due regard for deadlines. Inaccuracies to be addressed accordingly. Assist with maintaining of the various pricing Dashboards. Keeping track of all mandate request. Create contracts for commodity materials when transactions concluded with supplier. Assist with creation of SAP purchase orders when required. Maintain goo supplier relationships by ensuring constant communication, in house or virtual meetings. Ensure all concluded transactions are captured on system and relevant documents are forwarded to supplier and mill/s. Maintain a blotter of all concluded transactions. Monitor movement on contracts and ensure deliveries received within contracted volume blotter to be updated weekly with current contract balances. Assist Commodity Procurement Administration team with vendor queries when necessary. Ensure new vendor documents are in order and initiate workflow to take on vendor. Maintain approved vendor listing and update amendments, Act 36 of 1947 registration details and BBBEE compliance status. Ensure Act 36 of 1947 registration certificates, BBBEE compliance certificates and necessary Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS) are uploaded and saved on TIMS. Demand and Supply Planning Assist Commodity Procurement Manager with demand and supply planning on a weekly basis. Review mill stock and contract balance reports and identify and rectify discrepancies prior to distribution. Monitor execution of all concluded contracts with consideration for contractual volume and contract period and action necessary steps to avoid incurring penalties for delaying execution of contracts. Weekly or bi-monthly planning sessions to monitor forward supply – 1 month, 3 months, 6 month's planning. More frequently where critical supply identified. Engage with supplier, respective mill and respective procurement manager where critical supply identified, keep relevant personnel informed and assist in managing situation until level of comfort is reached. Proactive in identifying potential over/under supply of material and informing relevant personnel of same. Ensure that all mills maintain acceptable levels of minimum stock on hand, with consideration for capital outlay. Ensure that mills make optimum use of space available and where external storage is necessary assisting to ensure that relevant costs are minimized. Procurement of Micro Raw Materials and Other Engage with mill raw material planners on individual micro raw material requirements. Engage with suppliers to find synergies to deliver product at best price. With different specifications for certain minerals, engage with the Formulations team to run the necessary evaluations to test financial feasibility by logging all detail in the Raw Material Evaluation workflow. Provide evaluation results to the Technical, Procurement and milling teams with recommendations to proceed. Continuously monitor market conditions and trends and identify opportunities to forward purchase by up to 6 months. Compile comparison report on forward purchases against actual replacement cost. Keep record of concluded transactions. Assist the Commodity Procurement Managers in their respective areas of responsibility as and when necessary – invitations for tender. Apply Now
