We are looking for a well presented, motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Product Application Engineer - Gears to be responsible for the Bi sales force and customers by bringing deep or specific product and application knowledge to help understand the customer's application, aid selection, put Bi product in customer's specifications and close deals. By creating a high level of trust in the customer network gather information to help create Go-to-Market strategies and tactics in conjunction with the M&S team. Technical Degree or Diploma or equivalent experience Must have thorough knowledge of the core products and applications industrial couplings and PTO components, General Power Transmission products Must have at least 5 years business development skills Strong people and communication skills Must have a growth-mindset Drivers Licence. Subject matter expert in their field Must have exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) Strong interpersonal & organisational skills Driven, ambitious & passion to succeed Highly analytical Well organized and attentive to detail Self-motivated Technical foundation with a sales orientation Main Responsibilities Assist in achieving or exceeding the company's sales targets by using technical competence to position Bi as the best-in-class specialist in the fields of: Couplings and PTO drives. Use technical knowledge and experience to train and give credibility and support to our field sales, internal sales and to customer With the M&S team develop a market saturation plan for the Bi offer with measurable tasks and outcomes Train and support the branches to sell the product proposition and the lowest TCO (total cost of ownership) solutions Use the company CRM to manage opportunities and plan actions By continual development, ensure the Bi M&S team have deep product knowledge Provide monthly reporting on market trends, opposition activies, product developments, business opportunities and challenges Work with the relevant Product Manager and Sales Teams to creates a clear focus on resource deployment and up skilling to enhance competences and capabilities. Contribute to M&S action plans /business plans and review with the team monthly Achieve sales through : Be the primary route-to-sale in area of techical consultative applications Prepation and presentation of technical talks and demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders Identification of product differentiators Adaption of the Bi offer to meet the customer application Assess market competition by comparing the company's product offer Provide the lowest TCO solutions to drive customer uptime and to position Bi as first choice customers 4. Provide Customer Support by : Visit customers requiring specific product assistance of a technical nature and give guidance and training on correct product use Promote the product through sales training sessions, webnairs, etc Interact with suppliers to provide the lowest TCO solutions and position BI as first choice with customers 5.Branch Support: Develop training material and train to support product knowledge transfer to sales staff Develop value selling skills of sales staff Complete joint visits to target customers Support roadshows and exhibitions 6.Key Performance Indicators : Sales growth per relevant offer/s Pro-active internal and external call/action plan reviewed monthly Sales force training sessions conducted Pipeline of projects as primary lead generator
