Komatsu South Africa has an amazing opportunity in the Operations Division at our East London Field Service. Product Support and Sales Representative will provide expert technical advice internally and to customers, in support of Komatsu Mining Products. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 - 6 years of working experience as a PSSR and 2 years of supervisory experience. The preferred candidate should have a Trade certificate and experience with Komatsu products/heavy earth-moving equipment in a mining environment. Summary description of the role: Remains up-to-date with safety procedures Plans for safety events and campaigns Takes SHE into account in the planning of work output Plans for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), about dates, workshops, the nomination of service, stock, and other resources Collates all informative materials, Komtrax registration forms, warranties, and manuals Opens and maintains machine history file for each machine at a customer site Conducts delivery inspection of the machine Plans and prepares for anticipated service calls in conjunction with stakeholders (including RAMP Contracts) Plans for the modification of equipment Oversees warranty repairs that may be required at the site Provides technical advice & liaison with centralized Komatsu functions in the Service and Repairs machines Plans for time to complete reporting Collates information, downloads, inspections, PM clinic & troubleshooting for use in reporting Compiles recommendations report to the Parts/Branch/Depot Manager for additional components, to meet the component change requirements Controls Warranty Claims Machine Inspections (PDI and other) Drives After-Market Parts & Service Sales through Advice Technical Product Reporting & Advice Qualifications: N3 or Grade 12 with Maths Trade Certificate Experience 4-6 years in the earthmoving industry 2 years of supervisory experience (an advantage) Machine Operator License (an advantage) Komatsu Products (an advantage) Specific Knowledge requirements SAP Quoting - Advanced MS Excel - Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint - Intermediate CSS Portal KMG – Advanced EPQ Care - Advanced Komtrax - advanced Salaried: D4
