ACCOUNTANT - R45k - R40k pm - KUILSRIVER Joining the accounting team of a flourishing company supplying equipment to the construction industry is about more than just balancing books—it's about sculpting the financial landscape of a well established and growing company. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Compiles reports for various departments monthly to assist with strategic decisions. Reports include those dealing with management accounts, turnover reports, customer activity reports, stock-related reports, fixed asset reports, inter alia. Compiles, reviews, and discusses Management accounts with the Regional Managers. Support Regional Managers with review of Management accounts whilst providing input on key figures. Processing of transactions in SAP relating to various line items on the Trail Balance. Provide feedback on line-items queried by financial manager (FM) or – Director (FD). Developing of new reports and templates. Reporting on debtor accounts to FM, FD, and Market Unit (MU). Key user reporting for write-offs and recoveries of debtor accounts. Key link between Finance and Payroll (providing information, updating databases, updating and review of reconciliations). Provides ad hoc assistance and guidance to other team members. Provide information to external auditors. Checking and authorizing of payments (Cash on Delivery and supplier) on a weekly basis. Preparing and or reviewing of the monthly VAT reconciliation. Calculation of credit control commission on a quarterly basis. Final approval and creation of supplier accounts in SAP. Responsible to improve own knowledge and skills, understanding of the Business, and staying up to date on CA-related topics. Minimum Requirements: Min 3-year experience in similar role Experience of SAP desirable Experience on MS Office Suite (expert) – especially Excel Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting SAIPA or similar Completed Articles Skills/Attributes Well organized, methodical High level of drive, commitment, and enthusiasm Excellent attention to detail Positive team spirit, willing to assist in all areas of department Conscientious Ability to work accurately under pressure Highly accurate with good attention to detail Strong work ethic, open and reliable Honest and ethical Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn and adapt to systems quickly Ability to communicate financial information to varying levels of understanding effectively APPLY TODAY to be considered for this vacancy OR to be matched to similar roles in the near future.
