REQUIREMENTS- Matric, Relevant undergraduate degree/qualification in supply chain management, logistics or business administration essential
- Advanced Excel exp with Formulas V-lookup, Pivot tables
- 5 years working experience as Purchasing Manager or similar field
- Hands on function working alongside the Logistics Manager interacting on the factory floor for information required
- Sourcing and vendor management exp essential
- Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
- A knack for negotiation and networking
- Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
- Expertise in supplier relationship management and negotiation skills will be crucial in ensuring cost-effective and high-quality procurement.
- Solid judgement along with decision making skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
DUTIES- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
- Managing excel data, working on in-house system and SAGE
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Perform strategic procurement activities across various spend categories, aiming to find better deals and more profitable suppliers
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Work closely with Operations, Logistics and Demand Planning to determine best practise to align with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Sourcing equipment, goods, and services, as well as managing vendors.
- Lever your knowledge of supply chain management and your ability to identify opportunities for improvement, to contribute to the overall success of our organizations purchasing operations
