A leading energy company backed by a high impact private equity firm who have provided investment capital to boost their growth plan, are looking for a high level seasoned Business Development Manager. The BDD is responsible for building the company's business in the defined region by executing on the strategic plan. This position will be primarily responsible for marketing/inbound sales leads, sales qualification and the sales process, pipeline build, services business development and product/solution sales. Primary Responsibilities: Regional Marketing Regional Business Development Customer Relationship Management Order Fulfilment & Operational Ownership of sold Services Leading the execution of sales/market share strategy for the region, partnerships and external relationships in sustainable energy solutions for telecommunications Building and managing the company pipeline & managing the sales/BD process Providing visible leadership for the company within the region Anticipating and reacting to major market changes to ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the competitive landscape Establishing standards and ensuring adherence to them for business operations Effectively manages budget, T&E according to company budget and processes Strategy and Planning Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's sales and market capture strategy Identify technology trends and evolving social behaviour that may support or impede the success of the business. Lead sales strategic planning to achieve business goals Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organisation's resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of operational delivery of products and services Communicate the company's technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders Marketing and Sales Implement Marketing Initiatives to build the company pipeline Build Company Pipeline according to strategic goals Respond to all RFP's and Sales Leads Submit minimum proposal quota Submit minimum quotation quota Hardware (CAPEX based) Sales to new and existing customers Project Sales (CAPEX based) Sales to new and existing customers Recurring Services Sales to new and existing customers Manage customer expectations, partners, and vendors Profit Accountability on all Sales & Services Manage Sales Process Operational Management Operational Accountability on all sold services & products Define and communicate company values and standards within the company Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organisation Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organisation's investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders with regard to the company's business development vision, opportunities, and challenges Experience Required: The candidate must have, Renewable experience in Southern Africa, Sales/BD, Product Development, Proposals, and Customer interface. Technical knowledge on Renewable (specifically PV & Storage) and Thermal equipment added bonus Commercial and Industrial experience preferable Project finance modelling experience preferable Qualifications: Degree Qualified in related field Apply Now
