We are currently recuiting for a fixed-term contract Route Manager (RM) to join our dynamic team, based in Camperdown (KZN). A Route Manager is responsible for the normal duties associated with the management and supervision of a Works Contract, which duties shall, inter alia, include: Monitoring and reporting of the Contractor's program Implement Engineer's quality control plan Monitor the Contractor's quality control plan Site audits, inspection, quality control testing, approval, and rejection of work Measurement and certification of completed work inclusive of cash flow forecasts Management of ITIS software, issuing of job instructions using ITIS/ITIS Mobile, capturing of contract-related data, and any other associated duty relating to the ITIS modules as described under C3.1.13 Regular Site Meetings with Contractor and Employer Monitoring of the Contractor's third-party claims Monitoring and reporting of Contractor's CPG commitments Supervision of traffic accommodation arrangements Attend project liaison committee meetings Monitoring and reporting the project's EMP and NEMA requirements Implement the Engineer's requirements in terms of compliance with the OHS Act Monitor the Contractor's compliance with the OHS Act Compile all reports and as-built data by the Employer's standard requirements Report on the Service Provider, Contractor, and sub-contractor's BEE information as required by the Employer In addition to duties related to the normal day-to-day activities of the Works, the Route Manager may be required to assist with the supervision of separate regional road maintenance contracts inter alia, road marking, and road signs. You shall represent the Employer at community forums and local fire protection associations when instructed to do so. In addition, you shall be responsible for Incident Management System, Road Safety, Statutory Control functions, and Slope Management System Minimum years of relevant experience: 7 years Minimum qualification: Pr. Technologist (ECSA) or Pr. CPM; BSc. Eng. (Civil) / B.Eng. Civil or BTech Civil or National Diploma Civil Desired attributes: Emotional resilience; not easily influenced; can be firm when required Ability to work under pressure Excellent organizational skills and able to multi-task Able to plan and prioritize workload effectively Maintain high performance standards Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills Communicate with stakeholders at all levels Flexible approach to work Accurate Detail-oriented and analytic Proven influencer Integrity Initiative Conscientious Team-orientation Market Related
