Our client, a well-established Logistics company is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The purpose of this role is to grow new business and potential emerging markets within the ocean and air freight industry. Responsibilities: Generate personal new sales to facilitate annual volume growth as per company targets. Identify potential prospects, establish contact, and develop customer relationships; target customers that can help increase market share. Coordinate new business accounts secured and develop sales leads, maintain pipeline and manage inter-company opportunities. Define and quantify new targets in conjunction with the Company Act as liaison and communicate with foreign and domestic offices, department managers, upper management, and/or clients regarding quality service and related issues that affect our ability to meet the client's requirements, supported by the Managers. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures / Rate Proposals based on customer requirements to ensure quality and profitable service is delivered Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports of development & progress; analyze marketing conditions and sales projections. Requirements: Matric Degree or relevant Post Graduate Qualification Minimum 5 years experience with International freight forwarding industry Strong experience and working knowledge of sales, business development,planning and management. Track record in International Freight Forwarding and Clearing. R45k-R65k CTC, depending on skills and experience
