ROLE DESCRIPTION Responsible for all sales, operations, related administrative services and support functions for the Comstor Sales division. Ensure that team members are efficient and effective. Manages, directs, and coordinates all activities including sales, service, special events, and functions. Maintains and promotes trade contacts and ensures that accounts are services in accordance with company standards. Develops and executes sales plans and goals designed to increase sales, profits and minimize expenses. Responsible for the growth and development of sales and market share within the Comstor Sales Division. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assumes responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of effective sales and marketing programmes for the Comstor sales division. Assists directorate with long and short run strategic planning. Assists in strategic planning for the Comstor sales division. Ensures that plans complement and support established goals. Develops and implements sales promotions, operational plans, policies and goals which further the strategic objectives. Forecasts both long- and short-term profit and volume growth, sales by unit, expenses and capital expenditures. Establishes and implements programmes to meet merchandising, new account and productivity goals. Understanding and management of SMME's, Enterprise Development & Business incubation. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of sales functions within the Comstor sales division. Conducts formal reviews of sales and marketing activities. Corrects variances in performances. Prepares sales budget goals and sales forecasts. Ensures that accounts are serviced and merchandised in accordance with company standards. Maintains the integrity of all pricing and marketing programmes. Conducts inspections of sales activities and facilities to ensure the maintenance of established sales standards. Keeps informed regarding the area's competitive position and competitors' actions. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that the administration and financial functions of the Comstor sales division are carried out effectively. Prepares operating budgets. Pursues and implements cost-saving measures. Manages debtors by overseeing collections activities and resolution of all problem accounts. Ensures that administrative and related support activities are efficient and well coordinated. Completes required reports and related documents promptly and accurately. Ensures the accuracy of all reports and accounting records. Effectively supervises team members within the Comstor sales division ensuring optimal performance. Provides leadership to team members through effective coaching, objective setting, delegation and communication. Establishes effective reporting and communication with team members to ensure that they are appropriately informed of performance standards, expectations, policies and programs. Ensures that team members are well-trained, effective and employed optimally. Conducts performance appraisals as required. Provides specific feedback and suggestions for improvement. Managing escalations. Coaching and mentoring Account Manager's. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed. Fills vacant positions as promptly as possible. Conducts interviews. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional relations with business partners, customers and trade contacts. Maintains professional relations with business partners and channel contacts. Monitors contract service and support and ensures excellence at all levels. Ensures business partners and customers are well informed of sales and marketing activities. Responds to customer requests and follows up on all notices for action and new account opportunities. Tracks and resolves problems promptly. Ensures that involved parties are satisfied with conflict resolutions. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. Keeps directorate informed of activities and progress toward established objectives. Coordinates with management and with other sales areas to ensure consistency in promotional activities. Acts in accordance with acceptable norms and procedures in order to represent the company at the highest level possible. Stays informed of industry, market and product trends and developments. Completes special projects as assigned. PERSON SPECIFICATION Q u a li f i c at ion s Business Management Degree or similar is preferred . Cisco & NetApp Sales & Technical certifications are preferable Matric. Knowledge Excellent knowledge of competitive conditions & application of product positioning. Good knowledge & application of merchandising, sales & marketing techniques & principles. Knowledge of the IT distribution industry. Proven business acumen. Solid financial Background. Experience Minimum of 3 years sales management experience. Proven successful track record. Target and Forecasting management experience and knowledge Skills & Abilities Excellent management & leadership abilities. Excellent sales abilities. Excellent presentation skills. Strong interpersonal & public relations skills. Strong oral and written communication. Good organizational & problem-solving skills. Mature. Self-motivated. Integrity.
