We are looking for a person who are very much customer orientated, regarding customer satisfaction and arriving at the best solutions for our customers. This person should be able to work in a team. The aim is to always have a well-presented showroom, which is staffed by a professional, well presented, and well-informed person. Critical Performance Areas: 1. Responsible for General Store Sales as well as Telephone Sales, as well as handling Internet and email enquiries. 2. Responsible for Serving Customers in store. 3. Responsible for one of the cash registers in the store. 4. Responsible for healthy growth in turnover of the store and that budgets are achieved. 5. General Administrative work and reporting. Daily tasks: 1. Serve customers in store. 2. Handle telephone, internet and email inquiries and sales. 3. Generate invoices for all sales. 4. Receive and handle payments for each invoice according to prescribed systems. 5. Issue orders and quotations for customers according to prescribed systems and ensure that accepted quotations and orders are entered into the system. 6. Use the internet to also locate new housing projects and try to reach the decision makers to make a product presentation. Prices for the big developments will have to be better than the retail price and we can also try to improve other companies' prices. Price decisions must be discussed with management before they are presented. 7. Also engage our existing client base (on Pastel) to do "cold calling", especially the builders, developers, interior designers, and architects. Call and email them, just to check in and see if there are not any new projects on which we can quote. Target clients who have bought in the past, and now no longer buys from us. 8. Ensure that store personnel are notified in time of orders to be collected, so that they have enough time to prepare them. 9. Co-responsible for ensuring that shop is properly closed after hours, and that equipment is switched off. 10. Take messages and arrange for follow-up by those involved. 11. Handle leads and problems promptly according to prescribed systems. 12. File documentation related to korrespondence. 13. Keep phone number email database up to date and add new numbers for quick references on the system. 14. Assist in maintaining price lists and brochure inventory in the showroom. 15. Keep the counter area and showroom tidy and ensure that it remains clean. 16. Assist with showroom planning and maintenance of display stock. 17. Responsible for handling and building Customer Relationships positively. 18. Help to keep statistics, regarding sales to, so that marketing actions can be monitored. 19. Responsible for formally reporting to management, at least once a month, regarding, among other things; • Store sales • External Marketing Actions' feedback • Competition products and information about opposition • Suggestions from clients • Latest trends and products • Managing of Leads • Any relevant information that may be of application. Ad hoc tasks: 1. Be involved and helpful during show actions. 2. Do quotations at customers' homes in relation to leads generated by the store, also after hours in exceptional cases. 3. Do relief work during other staff's leave time and/or absence due to illness or otherwise. 4. Keep price lists as well as exhibition stock prices up to date. 5. Handle company assets in a responsible manner. 6. Reporting to management regarding client needs, trends and any information gained in the field (also regarding opposition). 7. Reporting to management regarding customer feedback regarding marketing and advertising actions that the company launches. 8. Help with after-sales service. 9. Be involved in stock taking twice a year. 10. Co-responsible for keeping inventory accurate. 11. Perform any other duties as assigned to incumbent from time to time. Sales experience in the Braai, Fireplace industry or alternatively sales experience in hardware and construction field. Perfectly fluent in both Afrikaans and English language. Speak, write and read. Decent experience in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel in the conducting of daily tasks. Pastel accounting (or similar) package experience Showroom display and managing of stock levels experience.
