Our manufacturing client is looking for a Sample & Design Coordinator to join their team. Loading sample orders onto the system. Request patterns and follow up. Request markers and follow up. Purchasing of raw materials - fabric & trims as approved by the Sample & Design Manager. Follow up on all outstanding Sample PO's raised - liaise with Suppliers on lead times and deliveries. Receive raw materials into the system. Picking trims to CMT. Picking fabrics to CMT. Raise outwork Sample PO and issue to various suppliers. Liaising with factories on problems and issues. Arranging the drop off and collection of goods with outwork suppliers when required. Receive finished garments into the system. Maintaining all aspects and gaining a full understanding of the Brands. Reporting and communicating all potential production delays to the Sample & Design Manager. Maintaining step processes on the system. Updating sample jobs and their statuses. Arranging wash tests and garment tests on problem items. Interact with sales to receive brief for new developments and ensure all info received – logos, pantones, quantities etc. Ensure all new visuals are ‘achievable', taking into consideration CMT, construction, costs, fabrics used, colours based on quantity, and budget needed etc. Sourcing fabric and order fabric, ensuring Sample PO is done on system. Liaise with suppliers – printers, embroiderers, headwear, fabric, buy-ins, jersey suppliers, socks, buttons etc. Keeping track of all suppliers – samples, swatches, prices, reference numbers etc. Dying up of fabrics – lab matches etc. Source & order trims for sampling. Check and make sure trims and fabrics available for bulk while sampling. Complete spec sheets & style sheets – recording suppliers of all fabrics and trims etc. keeping samples, swatches, reference numbers, prices etc. Ensuring plots and branding details received with prices and necessary information. Ensure measurement specs are done and 100% accurate. Examine samples and make sure they meet specifications and quality as per client specifications before they go off to clients. Organise invoice if samples are chargeable. Assist production when changes are needed. Communicate with suppliers. Liaising with & briefing production team once samples have been handed over, troubleshooting with any issues coming up once in Production. Ensuring samples are correct when sending to QA. Pick fabric and trims if in stock. Liaising with grader / marker when other sizes are needed, troubleshooting regarding specs, pattern issues etc. Fabric Library. Taking photos of all sample once ready to be sent to Sales. Prices for buy-ins when doing costings. Degree/diploma in design advantageous. Computer literate. ERP & PLM experience advantageous. Experience in design software would be advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication in English. Organization skills and a positive attitude. Team Player. Apply Now
