As a Security Guard with us, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our customers' vehicles, protecting our employer's property, and ensuring the overall safety of both customers and employees. In addition to security duties, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our outdoor spaces by assisting with basic general cleaning and maintenance of the garden and surrounding areas. Property Protection: Ensure the security and safety of the audiology practice's premises, including the building, equipment, vehicles and assets. Access Control: Monitor and control access to the audiology practice's facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry. Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of the premises to detect and deter unauthorized activities, vandalism, or theft. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and protect individuals and property. Customer and Employee Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors by enforcing safety protocols and procedures. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts, disputes, or disruptive behavior in a professional and diplomatic manner, de-escalating situations as needed. Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and coordination with emergency services. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, observations, and daily activities, preparing reports as required by management or regulatory agencies. Collaboration: Collaborate with audiology practice staff, management, and external security agencies to address security concerns, implement security measures, and improve overall safety protocols. Training and Awareness: Stay updated on security best practices, attend training sessions, and educate staff on security awareness and procedures to enhance security preparedness. General and basic cleaning of outside area. Assisting elderly or disabled persons to and from their vehicles. Must have the following: 1. Clear criminal record. 2. Must have a PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) valid certificate. 3. Own reliable transport. 4. Valid driver's licence. 5. Speak and write professional English and Afrikaans. 1.
