We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial records. Experience working on Syspro would be highly beneficial. Accessible locations: Ennerdale, Robertsham, Naturena, Eldorado Park, Florida, Riverlea, Roodepoort. Applicants must be able to start immediatelty or on a short notice. This is a 12 month contract. Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions Maintain fixed assets register and perform periodic depreciation calculations Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant regulations Reconcile General Ledger accounts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Calculate and file taxes accurately and on time, in compliance with local tax laws Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support as needed Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on journals, fixed assets, IFRS, and tax calculations Experience working with Syspro ERP system highly desirable Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Required Experience/Education: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in a similar role Relevant Accounting Degree Strong MS Excel Skills Experience working on Syspro would be advantageous R400K - R500K per annum
