Senior Training Officer: General Training and Development - Germiston

Assume full accountability and responsibility for General Training in the Group from inception to implementation stage. Ensure all statutory deadlines are met in terms of SETA requirements which includes but not limited to the Workplace Skills Plan, Annual training Report, Securing Mandatory Grants and meeting BBBEE score card requirements. Work Place Skills Plan and Annual Training Requirements: Implement a robust process to meet with business leaders to discuss, agree and process all training needs for the given year for inclusion in the WSP submission to the relevant SETA. Ensure a controlled and organised record keeping process for the purposes of the WSP and ATR submission process. Ensure record keeping and capturing is up to date on a monthly basis in order to ease the submission process. Focus on accuracy of capturing and record keeping. Follow up on a continuous basis to ensure that the WSP is implemented and training is scheduled in accordance in order to meet the SETA requirements. Focus at all time to ensure all processes and practices are in place to the benefit of the Group in terms of meeting mandatory grant requirements and all SETA requirements Attend all SETA meetings to ensure that the WSP and ATR submission process is understood, accurately and successfully implemented and all deadlines are met in advance. Ensure all SETA documentation is recorded on the shared folder for ease of reference such as successful submission and approval of the WSP / ATR by the relevant SETA Along with Group Payroll monitor, follow up and ensure all mandatory grants are paid to the Group. Keep abreast with all the changes and updates to relevant legislation and SETA requirements. Provide detailed and accurate input to the overall Training and Development report for inclusion in the HR monthly combined report. Provide accurate and detailed input for inclusion in the Social and Ethics Committee report. Provide monthly statistics to measure training executed in accordance with the Workplace Skills Plan. Review current reporting methods and introduce new and improved reporting methods inclusive of statistics. On a weekly basis ensure that the Training Officer has completed the capturing for the week onto the Group's payroll system and ensure that the input is checked for accuracy at all times. Ensure that policies and procedures pertaining to WSP and ATR process is relevant and up to date. Build sound relationship with SETA's to the benefit of the Group. General Training : Scheduling of General Training and Training Agreements: Build solid relationships with business leaders to discuss, plan and implement training needs in accordance with the WSP and the operational needs of the department/ Group. Ensue training fits the SETA and business criteria Ensure that all times only trusted and accredited training providers are utilised. Negotiate cost where applicable. Throughout the year meet with business leaders to present progress on the annual training needs as per the WSP and discuss any other needs that need to be attended to. Discuss staff succession plans with business and align training and development needs accordingly. Ensure that the business provides attendance registers for all internal and external training to the training department. Guide the business on a continuous basis on the importance of attendance registers and the timeous submission thereof. Ensure all invoices, proof of payment and attendance registers are kept on record in an organised manner for completion of the BBBEE scorecard. Ensure all attendance registers are captured on a weekly basis and check the input to ensure accuracy. Provide input to the HR monthly report with regards to training conducted for the month, cost and stats in terms of progress against the WSP. Where required and as per Company policy draft training work back agreements. Ensure at all times that training agreements are 100% accurate and sent to Group Payroll for records keeping. Ensure updated records are kept of all training work back agreements the terms and expiry date. Continuously scrutinise the exit list on a weekly basis to check if there are any exits where a work back agreement is still valid. Provide innovative ideas to improve the planning and execution of general training. BBBEE Score Card Requirements: Saying abreast of the BBBEE scorecard requirements for the Road Freight and Transport Sector. Actively participate in the required forums. Ensure that the BBBEE score card planning is organised and that all record keeping is up to date. Use the necessary templates provided by the verification agents to pre populate the score card requirements. Aim to populate the scorecard template on a monthly basis with cost aspects in order to ease and avoid last minute bulk capturing. Keep a solid record of all internal training facilitators to ensure a report is available to Group Payroll for populate the scorecard requirements Compile input for inclusion in the Social and Ethics Committee Meeting report pertaining to new developments on the BBBEE scorecard and the Groups progress, challenges and any potential risks. SETA: Ensure all SETA requirements are met with regards to Mandatory grants. Monitor mandatory grants along with Group payroll and follow up to ensure that the Group receives all mandatory grants due. Keep abreast with latest developments pertaining to all SETA requirements to the benefit of the Group. Ensure WSP & ATR requirements are met in accordance the relevant SETA's inclusive of Namibia Employment Equity Participate as a member of the Employment Equity committee to provide feedback on general training and development aspects. Ensure EE minutes are signed off correctly to be used for the annual WSP & ATR submission. Keep all records required. General: Maintain and update all Group Policies and Procedures pertaining to General Training and Development. Where required provide assistance and support with the annual learnership recruitment process. Travel to the various depots to meet with management and discuss training needs and implement where required. Perform any other task as may be reasonably be required from time to time. Tertiary Qualification Bachelors' Degree. Skills Development Facilitator Qualification. Minimum of 5 years in a Training Development role in a similar environment Sound knowledge and experience of SETA requirements Sound knowledge and experience in term of Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report Submission Sound Knowledge and experience from a BBBEE scorecard perspective and the compilation thereof specifically pertaining to Skills Development R40 000ctc Apply Now
