VACANCY NOTIFICATION Position : Services Foreman Location: Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining, Kathu, Northern Cape VACANCY STATUS PUBLISHED DATE 03 May 2024 CLOSING DATE 13 May 2024 POSITION DESCRIPTION Services foreman REPORTING TO General Engineering Superintendent DIRECT REPORTS Engineering Services Team and associated business partners PURPOSE OF THE JOB · Ensures the availability and reliability by maintaining and repairing of all the required LDVs, TMMs and support equipment on the mine. · Ensure sustainable supply of potable water to the mine and all areas within the Mine. · Ensure reliable support systems by maintain and repairing all sewage systems, offices, change houses, laundry, buildings as per the maintenance management system. · Oversees the onsite coordination, quality control and supervision of all engineering services functions, including the associated business partners. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS · Allocates and monitors the utilization of allocated funds to enable the attainment of objectives. · Regularly reviews, monitors, and responds to spending against budget. · Manages and reports expenditure according to standard procedure. · Identifies and manages potential risks that could result in increased costs. · Implements engineering services maintenance plans and schedules to support operational requirements and objectives of the business. · Oversees the safe and effective testing, maintenance, and modification of the powerhouse and all LDVs, TMMs and ancillary equipment within cost, quality, and time constrained environments. · Oversee, manage, and continuously develop the Engineering Services Section on the Mine. · Implements, maintains, and enhances engineering services maintenance policies and processes in a manner that will ensure: 1.Highlighting of sub-standard performance, processes, and systems. 2.Employees understanding their roles and being managed in a manner as to perform to the requirements of their roles. 3.Equipment being supplied, used and maintained in a manner supportive of the achievement of operational objective · Adheres to the statutory requirement as stipulated in MHSA. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED · Grade 12 (Matric) · N4 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Certificate · Millwright Trade Test Certificate · A valid driver's license. · Accredited Supervisory certificate MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED • 5 years' relevant experience within an engineering services supervisor/ foreman role within a mining environment. • 10 years' relevant mechanical and electrical (millwright) experience in the mining industry • A valid fitness certificate. • Experience on Generators, LDV maintenance, TMM maintenance, water and sewage reticulation, Civil maintenance. • Relevant control and instrumentation experience • Mechanical/Electrical Project Execution Experience will be advantageous.
