The role reports directly to the General Manager and manages a team of 7 sub ordinates. Position: SHEQ Manager Location: Mpumalanga Qualifications: National Diploma in Safety Management BTech degree advantageous A minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience as Safety Manager Comsoc 1&2, SAMTRAC and other safety related courses Skills: Safety Management within Mining or related field Computer literacy Risk assessment techniques application Accident/incident investigation experience Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and implement safety strategy to realise safety objectives Ensure safety inspections, audits are conducted and reports are tabulated and actioned Managing the development and maintenance of a robust SHEQ management system (Optimal Solve) Ensure safety strategy is disseminated within operations Provide guidance with the investigation of causes, proposing counter measures increasing safety awareness Apply now
