Our client a global leader of controlled environments and safety technologies for the underground mining Industry is currently looking for a Software Engineer to be based in North Riding. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that meet our business needs. You will be responsible for local and international manufacturing processes and global engineering sales requests directed through the engineering request process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of projects and contribute to the overall success of our products. Write, develop, and test code for engineering projects under the direction of the project lead as directed by the Engineering Manager. On existing projects - write in the languages that are already operational unless otherwise directed. Contribute to the innovation committee as an attendee. On new projects - write in the language that you determine as being the most appropriate. Contribute to the development of the hardware with support of the Electronic Engineer and under the direction of the Engineer Manager. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex technical problems. 4 Years of experience in Software engineering. Relevant Software Engineering qualification. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C & C++. Understanding in frameworks such as Nodejs, REACT. Knowledge on IDE's such as VS/VS code , ATMEL sutdio, Arduino IDE. Database design and implementation on databases such as SQLite, MariaDB, MYSQL, MSSQL. Version Control systems (GIT) and agile development processes. Front-end GUI development. Experience in HTML/PUG, CSS, Java etc. Embedded Development: Network communication protocols such as TCP/IP MODBUS, CAN etc. IC Communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART etc. Experience on projects using Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone, Arduino, ATMEL, RFID, WIFI/BT, UWB technology.
