Phakisa Holdings is currently seeking a Specialist Contract Manager in Isipingo Durban area. Support the development and implementation of new process, policies and technologies to improve transaction processing efficiencies To strategically manage, control and ensure world class sourcing based on Total Cost of Ownership (Cost optimisation) principles in order to improve Natref Durban Operations' (NDO) competitive advantage through mitigated risk and safety. To develop and implement sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the assigned portfolio commodities and associated activities. Securing the supply of goods and services in the portfolio to ensure business continuity. To execute all aspects related to the establishment and management of contracts for a portfolio of contracts in the category, including contract negotiations, review and lifecycle management. To ensure that existing contracts remain valid with respect to changes in NDO's internal and external environment. To monitor performance of suppliers procured goods and services to ensure the realisation of the benefits. To ensure the delivery of a portfolio of material/service purchases in order to meet NDO stakeholder requirements. To achieve the lowest total cost supply base and sourcing competitiveness for a portfolio through the procurement process (PTP process) - purchasing and contract management To proactively ensure that critical material/service purchases are delivered on time and in-full and minimise the impact of overdue and partial deliveries. Coordination activities between NDO and Natref (cross functional communication and reporting) Petty cash management Assisting with business cases and development of motivations for various NDO initiatives Cost tracking of specific projects and assisting with project closures (ad-hoc) Assisting with input data for budgeting purposes NCR management and reporting Review and analyse NDO spend and external market analysis across a portfolio of commodities or services to determine trends and contracting opportunities. Develop a spend gap analysis between ideal and spend by means of a detailed analysis and understanding of current and future volumes and the ideal spending patterns. Conceptualise, scope and launch strategic sourcing initiatives, based on analysis conducted and the overall impact to the company as directed. Execute contract sourcing initiatives until the conclusion of the opportunity and award of contract in accordance with Natref's contracting procedure. Manages NDO contract and buying portfolio to ensure appropriate prioritisation and buy-in from Natref stakeholders. Contribute to the development of the wider Procurement strategy, as well as projects which span across commodities and categories. Ensure sustainability of supply within portfolio, as well as identifying and managing supply chain risks identified. Governance, Risk and Legal Compliance Be accountable for timely escalation with suppliers/service providers in cases of delivery time or quality breaches. Enforce collaboration and integration amongst suppliers/service providers and where applicable with materials/services end users to embed and reinforce a perception of a single supply chain. Ensure that suppliers/service providers are adequately aware of all requirements and protocols (SHE, risk etc) to enable them to service NDO. Manage suppliers/service providers within portfolio of work Execute purchasing (buying) activity Maintenance of Sole / Preferred documents Co-ordinating procurement activities for Natref Durban Operations (NDO) Ensure close out of Supplier performance management issues timeously and effectively. Ability to assist with project co-ordination activities e.g. manage the activities within the commercial and financial space for a specific strategic project together with the relevant NDO operations or project personnel. Target value adjustment on Outline Agreements Negotiating and instituting price adjustments on contracts and SAP Ensuring updated BBBEE status of vendors Vendor application screening and compliance Grade 12 Appropriate B Degree or B-Tech Minimum 5 years Procurement experience Valid Code B driver' license SAP experience Ability to: Analysing internal spend where data integrity is (currently) fragmented and of variable quality Implementing saving initiatives which successfully meet broad and diverse Natref requirement Convincing a variety of diverse stakeholders of the value in strategic sourcing initiatives. Operate on SAP technology systems Ensuring OTIF delivery. Balancing the need to source the least expensive goods against the need to meet end-user requirements.)
