STORES CONTROLLER - Pietermaritzburg
RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced STORES CONTROLLER for a well-established, growing concern, position based in the Pietermaritzburg area, KwaZulu-Natal.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Relevant qualification/s advantageous.
Valid drivers license / own reliable vehicle.
Person must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Inventory Software / BPO System advantageous.
3yrs+ previous working experience as a Stores Controller is essential.
Required to report to General Manager.
Responsible for inbound and outbound goods movement, procurement and inventory management.
Coordinate store activities and delegate to picker / packer. Training of store staff.
Design floor layout and outline procedures. Stock control, receipts, issues transfers, data capture.
Forecast demand for all warehouses and process purchase orders. Customer and client liaison.
Ensure that goods are stored safely. Housekeeping.
Produce inventory reports (issues, purchases, stock on hand, obsolete stock, receipts). Update data on BPO.
Procurement of spare and consumables. Monitor critical stock items and re-order.
Perform periodic stock counts (weekly and annually). Ensure availability of stock items.
