My client is an innovative company that manufactures and sells optronics to the aviation,/ aerospace industries is looking for an experienced Supply Chain manager to join their ever fast growing team. ●Monitoring finished goods inventory levels in various warehouses, customer sales orders and quote activity, to ensure zero out of stock conditions while managing inventory investment within reasonable levels; ●Monitoring customer sales orders for large orders or custom orders to kick-off procurement and production planning for such orders; ●Providing accurate lead times for quotations and accurate promised shipping dates for sales orders to ensure on time delivery of orders while maintaining reasonable lead times; ●Overseeing execution against Sales Orders, including priorities, packing and shipping; ●Overseeing expediting of orders to ensure on time delivery; ●Scheduling and prioritising production jobs for finished goods and work in progress goods; ●Scheduling jobs with subcontractors to ensure input is ready when needed; ●Liaising with the Production Engineer and Production Manager around production jobs and priorities; ●Executing regular Material Requirement Planning and subsequent procurement of components while taking lead times, MOQs, EQs, obsolescence and JIT principles into consideration; ●Placing orders on vendors and ensuring they are provided with all the information they need; ●Finding solutions or alternative supply for problematic components; ●Ordering exotic and hard to find electronic components; ●Pursuing cost savings through vendor negotiations; ●Taking ownership of supplier non-conformances; ●Performing and managing supplier evaluations, approvals and reviews and reporting to management on supplier performance; ●Overseeing inventory management, stock takes and stores functions, including picking for production and consumables management; ●Critically evaluating systems and processes for continuous improvement; ●Ensuring proper implementation of new products or changes to products from a supply chain ●Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics Management; ●10 Years work experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics Management; ●Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems; ● R750K - R850K Bonus
