An established study centre in Sandton, Johannesburg, with a vibrant community of over 120 students, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Foundation Phase Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a group of Grade R to Grade 3 students with the support of a teaching assistant. We are looking for an individual with at least 10 years of experience in a South African educational environment, strong computer skills, and a passion for nurturing young minds. Whilst experience in assisted learning or remedial teaching is not mandatory, it would be considered advantageous. Contribution to shaping the educational journey of young learners. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students in the Foundation Phase (Grade R to Grade 3). Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student growth and development. Collaborate with colleagues and teaching assistants to ensure effective classroom management and student support. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians. Utilize technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports. Stay updated on educational best practices and participate in professional development activities as required. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Education or other recognised educational qualification. Valid teaching certification/license. Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a South African educational setting. Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with educational software and online teaching platforms. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the diverse needs of students. Experience in assisted learning or remedial teaching would be advantagious Salary: R17,000 to R25,000pm Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
