My client in the Construction industry is seeking to employ a Technical Sales Representative to assist with industry sales. Industry sales experience is not negotiable Based at our Durban branch and reporting to the Target Market Manager or his designate, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following items: Sales Promote, develop and increase sales of company's products and company's services. Maintaining and increasing business relationships with existing customers. Plan and execute sales calls economically, logistically and with the most impact. Do this according to your designated customers and areas. Customers include : - Large OEM & OES customers - Large Manufacturing customers - Large Engineering customers General Undertakes such additional duties which may from time to time be assigned to the employee in the discharge of his / her duties To ensure that a correct and proper image of the Company is maintained at all times Education and Experience The successful candidate must have: Matric or NQF 4 qualification Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry Minimum 10 years' industrial experience in a similar role (Construction Sales) Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer usage Proven sales track record Experience in customer support is a plus Competencies Required Self-starter People skills Organizing skills Attention to detail Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) Market knowledge Communication and negotiation skills Ability to build rapport Time management and planning skills Ability to build trust and confidence with the client/Retail store through product knowledge, presentation and overcoming objections Comfortable with Enterprise Resource Planning programs and tools Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills A confident, natural leader and problem solver with demonstrated critical thinking and collaboration skills Strong command of English language and good communication skills Special requirements Regular and on time attendance Will be required to work overtime when required Will be required to travel (- 8 days per month)
