IOEC is a dynamic and ambitious family owned and runs export trading business based in Durban. We have been in existence for the last 51 years with a third generation in place. We specialize in the export of FMCG's, fruit and vegetables, meat, wines and building materials to over 55 countries throughout the world. We have subsidiary businesses in both the Seychelles and Mauritius. We are currently looking for the Wine Export Co-ordinator to join our Export Services team. This position is available immediately and based at our Cape Town office. Head office in Durban-travel required when necessary. The position would be responsible for executing the export transactions within the policies and guidelines of the company and provide assistance and back-up to the Business Development Managers. The position plays a key role in the liaison between the company, its suppliers, shipping lines and customers. It carries the responsibility for maintaining high standards of competence, professionalism and service. Respond to enquiries or provide quotes for potential and existing clients. Stay updated on Wine industry regulations, compliance and certification standards. Execute confirmed wine orders from enquiry stage up to invoicing stage and order tracking. Execute confirmed orders / negotiate shipping and operational requirements / issue shipping instructions / supplier confirmation / documentation / stock control (expiry dates etc.) / shipping file cover / communication with clients / follow up on actual shipment. Business Development Manager support and backup. Comply with the applicable export regulations for exporting wine from South Africa to various countries. Knowledge of the Wine Export process. Incoterm knowledge In-depth knowledge of the wine industry. DAFF/Wine On-line website proficiency. Sound knowledge of SARS wine documentation i.e. Movement in Bond Computer literacy and an advanced knowledge of excel. Experience with exchange rates and foreign currencies. Ability to speak French would be an added advantage. WSET 1 and 2 advantageous Salary will be market related and based on experience. The package will be made up of a basic salary plus an attainable commission.
