MQA Learnership programme 2015-2016

The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) offers yearly opportunities for learners to develop skills in the mining industry.

The skills involved are relevant for diesel mechanics, engineering, welding, electrical maintenance, boilermaking and fitting and turning. Most of the training happens on site and is intensely practical. Apply for more information here :

The Bytes Learnership Programme

Part of the Altron Group, Bytes is an excellent way to launch a career in IT and offers NQF level 4 technology training and entry-level ICT training. May learners go on to win permanent positions as administrators, technicians, call centre agents, testers and junior developers. Applicants require a Matric, competence in English and no criminal record. Currently, Bytes’ BEE policy requires candidates who are female and living with a disability. Telkom Learnership Programme 2015

To join in on a learnership at South Africa’s biggest communications company, you’ll need an N6 electrical engineering qualification, some sort of relevant academic training (for example a BSc) and be a South African citizen, among other things. Learnerships at Vodacom

Vodacom is one of the biggest cellphone companies in South Africa, and a guaranteed challenging and valuable learnership experience. Requirements to apply for a learnership at Vodacom include South African citizenship, Matric certificate with mathematics and science, basic IT and computer knowledge and a clear criminal and credit background check:
