Duties will include but are not limited to:
Operations Manager:
- Supervising all aspects of the abattoir operations, including slaughter, processing and packaging.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
- Oversee the maintenance end repair of equipment to ensure smooth operation
Staff Management:
- Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient workflow.
- Manage over 40 staff
- Excellent communication and ability to work on all levels
Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the consistent quality of ostrich meat products.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility and processed to identify and address any issues affecting product quality.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and ingredients
