Accountant Knysna, WC R 25 000 – R 35 000 neg, depending on experience Our established client is currently seeking an Accountant to join their young and dynamic team based in Knysna, WC. The ideal candidate should possess a B.Com degree and practical experience in an accountancy practice. Preference will be given to those with a SAIPA, SAIBA, or SAICA qualification, or individuals actively pursuing such qualifications. In this role, you will primarily focus on supporting clients through the compilation of financial statements and independent reviews, as well as handling income tax calculations. Requirements Fluent in English Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport Minimum 5 years of accountancy experience B. Comm Degree Proficiency with different accounting packages, with a preference for Draftworx and Xero. Experience using Greatsoft to process and manage all tax returns and maintain time records would be an added advantage Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt accordingly Team player with excellent communication skills Exceptional time management and self-discipline Outstanding planning and forecasting mindset Responsibilities Receiving Trial Balances and supporting documentation from clients. Compiling Annual Financial Statements for Companies and CCs based on IFRS for SME’s using Draftworx. Understanding Trusts and proficiently compiling Trust Annual Financial Statements. Demonstrating a solid grasp of accounting standards and principles. Ensuring comprehensive knowledge of income tax consequences and proficiently completing income tax calculations for Companies, CCs, or Trusts. Conducting tax planning, including an understanding of personal income tax, dividends withholding tax, and donations tax. Utilizing bookkeeping expertise to assist clients with monthly work.
