Our Retail Client is currently looking for a Corporate Admitted Attorney based in Durban North This position would be ideal for a Risk and Compliance Lawyer with corporate experience in the corporate world with compliance, Contracts , ESG, Risk, Music Rights Salary: Market Related Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts ensuring all legal obligations are met. Compliance Oversight: Manage compliance for both store operations and head office, including internal compliance protocols. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with company operations. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG): Oversee and ensure compliance with ESG standards and regulations. Music Rights: Handle matters related to SAMRO and other music rights organizations. Intellectual Property (IP): Provide legal support on IP matters, including trademarks and copyrights. General Legal Support: Offer legal advice and support across various areas as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Admitted Attorney with a valid practicing certificate. 2-3 years experience as a proven experience in corporate law, particularly in compliance and risk management. Ability to handle a broad range of legal matters and adapt to different challenges. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
