Unica Iron and Steel is a leading manufacturer of light and medium structural steel . We are located in the Babelegi Area in Pretoria, Gauteng. Established in 2006, the company has grown to over 800 staff operating from a 36000m2 facility where the company has garnered a reputation for manufacturing quality light structural sections (window sections, square bar and angle iron ) commercially. Instead of using iron ore, Unica Iron and Steel melts iron scrap, then rolls the resultant billets into structural steel. This fully integrated mini steel plant is the first of its kind in South Africa, with the concept originating from China and India. Always intent on innovation and the highest quality standards, Unica is proud to be the first steel mill in South Africa to receive all the ISO integrated management systems accreditations: ISO9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 Technical Support and Maintenance: Provide second-level support for hardware and software issues. Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of network systems, servers, and other IT infrastructure. Ensure system security and data integrity through regular updates and monitoring. Project Management: Assist in the planning, execution, and management of IT projects. Coordinate with various departments to ensure project alignment with business objectives. Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders. Team Coordination: Support the IT team in daily operations and administrative tasks. Mentor junior IT staff and provide guidance on technical issues. Facilitate communication between the IT department and other business units. System Administration: Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for technology improvements and system optimizations. Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance IT service delivery. Compliance with all ISO requirements Full compliance with all the health & safety and environment legislations · Grade 12 and relevant qualification · Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician will be an added advantage. · Microsoft certified IT professional: Enterprise desktop administrator on Windows will be an added advantage. · Knowledge of Hardware Network and Software support
