Reference: PE000479-GS-1 Our client a large concern in the agricultural industry, specifically Citrus farming, production, and exports is looking to employ an Assistant Production Manager soonest. The Candidates main role is to assist the Senior Production Manager daily, with all units and roles needed to produce the Citrus processes as they need be up and until export season. Responsibilities: Citrus Production Implement the set Irrigation and Fertiliser programs. Integrate Pest Management (IPM) – Responsible for monitoring pests with the assistance of scouts and implementing the prescribed protection programs such as spraying, baiting, and biological controls Orchard maintenance – The control of weeds, pruning, and repair of netting. Harvesting – Manage the harvest teams, coordinate resources (bins, etc), and manage the hostel housing seasonal workers. Day-to-day management of the work teams to perform various tasks. General Maintenance and Development: Required to support all maintenance and new development activities undertaken by the group. This function is required for all production areas. Qualifications and Experience: A degree, diploma, or certificate in Agricultural or Business Sciences would be preferred, but lack thereof is not disqualifying. Ability to work well with the general workforce. R 18000 - R 25000 - Monthly plus Housing, Vehicle, Wi-Fi, Petrol Allowance and Incentives
