Our client in the Motor industry is currently looking for Auto Technicians , in Ireland Play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. Lead by example, providing guidance and support to Junior Technicians while ensuring that all work meets their high-quality standards. Diagnosis and Repair: Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid checks, adhering to manufacturer and dealership guidelines. Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Technicians, sharing own expertise and best practices to improve their skills and efficiency. Quality Control: Ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Documentation: Accurately document all repairs, including parts used, labour hours, and diagnostic findings. Maintain organized records for future reference. Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, explaining repairs and maintenance recommendations clearly and providing exceptional customer service. Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry advancements, new vehicle technologies, and repair techniques through ongoing training and education. Inventory Management: Assist in managing parts and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and reordering when necessary. Compliance: Adhere to all dealership policies, procedures, and regulations, including environmental and safety standards. ASE Certification: Hold a valid Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Auto Technician Certification. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Technician, with a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing various vehicle makes and models. Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and address complex vehicle issues. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor Junior Technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and computerized control systems. Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with customers and explain repair recommendations. Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail when documenting repairs and performing quality control checks. Safety Conscious: Committed to following safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Continuing Education: Willingness to stay updated on industry advancements and attend training sessions to improve skills and knowledge. Possess a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
