CDP/ Junior Sous Chef - South Africa

Candidate Requirements:
  • Must have a Culinary Certificate
  • Minimum of at least 3 years of previous experience in a luxury lodge environment
  • Exposure to high-end kitchens
  • Knowledge about flavors, plating, and trying new recipes
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
  • Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions
  • Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
  • Must be punctual and self-disciplined
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Interact with guests during meals, and during their stay to understand their needs and preferences
  • Must be eager to grow their career
  • Well-groomed and adhere according to the lodge standards
  • To assist the Senior chef with preparation, and offer support to the head chef
  • Uphold Hygiene standards
  • Keep food waste to a minimum
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols
  • must be able to work in a team, have effective communication and be adaptable!
