CDP/ Junior Sous Chef - South Africa
Candidate Requirements:
Must have a Culinary Certificate
Minimum of at least 3 years of previous experience in a luxury lodge environment
Exposure to high-end kitchens
Knowledge about flavors, plating, and trying new recipes
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions
Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
Must be punctual and self-disciplined
Must have excellent attention to detail
Interact with guests during meals, and during their stay to understand their needs and preferences
Must be eager to grow their career
Well-groomed and adhere according to the lodge standards
To assist the Senior chef with preparation, and offer support to the head chef
Uphold Hygiene standards
Keep food waste to a minimum
Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols
must be able to work in a team, have effective communication and be adaptable!
