MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Diploma / degree in Civil Engineering or any related engineering qualification.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the management of civil construction and related works.
Experience in treated, potable and wastewater operations and maintenance will be an added advantage.
Experience in residential housing development or maintenance will be an added advantage.
Project management experience is essential.
Heavy industry or sugar industry experience will be an added advantage.
An understanding of legislation and standards for food safety and water quality.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
A high level of computer literacy and well organised.
Good interpersonal skills and the desire to fit in with the company culture.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
Care for and lead the Civils department and permanent contractors.
Plan, coordinate, and execute all maintenance, operations, and Capex work in line with company standards, ensuring all work is completed timeously and to acceptable standards.
Provide technical designs and solutions to civils infrastructure and operational needs.
Project manage major civils scope within the capital budget.
Responsibility for condition and upliftment of company housing, offices, and other facilities.
Prepare, motivate, and control Civils maintenance, operational and capital budgets.
Assure reliable functioning of all water, waste, civil infrastructures, and buildings.
Assure reliable supply of treated water and safe potable water to the factory and community.
To maintain and improve the state of company's property, with specific responsibility for parks and gardens, factory and office cleaning, storm water and road maintenance
