Our client, who runs an all-in-one insurance platform that allows customers to quickly and easily address their insurance needs online, are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join their team in South Africa. In this critical role, the ideal candidate would be responsible for efficiently and professionally handling insurance claims from the client's diverse client base. Candidates with an Immediate Availability would be advantageous Promptly respond to and evaluate new claims reported by policyholders, gathering all necessary information and documentation. Investigate and analyse claims thoroughly, including reviewing policy coverage, assessing liability, and documenting findings. Determine claim eligibility and coverage based on policy terms and conditions. Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, aiming for fair and reasonable resolutions. Maintain accurate and upto-date records of claim activities, correspondence, and financial transactions. Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and other internal teams to ensure seamless claim processing and resolution. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing policyholders' inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Stay current with changes in South African insurance regulations, laws, and industry best practices related to claims handling. Identify potential fraud or suspicious claim patterns and escalate concerns appropriately. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Claims Handler or in a similar role within the South African insurance industry. Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverages, claims processes and regulations in South Africa. Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex claims objectively. Effective negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously. Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Relevant South African insurance licenses. R 20 000.00 - R 25 000.00 CTC (Based on Experience)
