If you have a law degree and have a minimum of 3 years General Liability special risks Claims settling experience from a UMA or Insurer's perspective, then we have an awesome opportunity for you Technical expertise: To evaluate, investigate, and recommend claims solutions on all General Liability claims assigned and received in order to prevent possible leakage to the company in the settlement of claims. Manage own portfolio and output. Ensure sound risk management. Customer service: Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the company. Service to brokers: Over and above normal claims processing duties such as technical advice and other assistance. Effective and timeous communication: Communicate in a professional manner with internal and external parties and respond to queries within 24 hours. Registration: All claims received to be registered within 24 hours of receipt. Quantum: To establish, recommend and capture as accurately as possible the estimate to be retained by the company Investigation and settlement of claims Recoveries Risk management: Underwriters to be advised of claims revealing adverse risk features as soon as they are evident and reinstate policies where applicable. Processing: Accurate and timely data capturing of claims. Complete transactions within delegated authority limits and within set standards and service level agreements. Sound understanding of TCF principles. Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills: A minimum of 3 year's General Liability (specialist risk lines) claims settling experience- must have handled General Liability claims from inception to finality Educational Requirements: Matric and FAIS Compliance Bachelor's degree – LLB or equivalent Admitted Attorney Advantageous
