Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain effective communication with a network of internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive managed care for patients.
Cost Management: Monitor and manage costs associated with Managed Care Organization patients.
Stay Confirmation: Confirm and document the length of stay for all patients under Managed Care Organizations.
Ward Rounds: Accompany Managed Care Organization Case Managers during ward rounds within the hospital.
Authorization Assistance: Support the final authorization process for Managed Care patient files.
Accurate Coding: Ensure accurate coding for all Managed Care Organization patients.
Patient History: Provide detailed patient history information to clinical partners.
Benchmark Management: Ensure DNYB and in-patients are managed within the Group's benchmarks.
Qualifications and Experience:
Nursing diploma/degree OR Enrolled Nurse certificate.
Current registration with SANC.
A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a multi-disciplinary hospital.
At least 2 years of general or ICU case management experience.
Preferably intermediate training in CPT and ICD 10.
Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with MS Excel.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
