Description Compliance Administrator Location: Somerset West. Department: Compliance Reports to: Head of Compliance Position Overview: The Compliance Administrator will support the compliance team in ensuring that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the company's operations and protecting its reputation by ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards. Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Support the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities. Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required. Assist in the documentation of compliance issues and the development of corrective action plans. Training and Communication: Support the development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees. Communicate compliance policies and procedures to staff and ensure understanding. Provide guidance to employees on compliance-related issues. Risk Management: Assist in identifying and assessing compliance risks within the organization. Participate in the development of risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance risk management efforts. Qualifications: Education: A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role. Skills: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards. Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software. Personal Attributes: High level of integrity and ethical standards. Detail-oriented and meticulous. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive and able to take initiative. Working Conditions: Full-time position based in Cape Town.
