Description Our client, based in Somerset West, is looking to appoint a Management Accountant. This role will suit an experienced individual, with a strong personality and supervisory or management experience. This role will be on-site. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting, management accounting and costing experience, with a certificate, diploma or degree in finance an advantage, as candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. Working knowledge of accounting packages, especially Xero, will be a positive, as well as previous experience with inventory management, and supervisory of management experience is highly sought after. Preference will be given to candidates with completed SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles. First and foremost, the company is looking for a culture fit and the right personality. Training will be provided by the company and their accounting firm where there is a need, and the incumbent will work closely with these parties. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation of financial accounts up to trial balance. Capturing of bank statements on Xero. Reconciling bank statements. Prepare customer invoices. Preparation of management accounts. Financial reporting. Cost accounting reporting. Job costing. Account reconciliations. Creditors reconciliations. Capturing supplier invoices to be paid. Sending out customer statements. Inventory control. Checking stock-levels periodically, ensuring that intercompany journals and invoices are raised to reflect correct stock-levels. Daily, weekly and monthly stock reports to management. Assistance in stores when required. Manage office and assist with task such as ordering stationery, IT, communications, insurance, vehicle licencing, training, supplier and customer contacts, regulatory compliance, etc. Ad hoc duties as required. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting / Management Accounting or related qualification. Completed CIMA, SAICA or SAIPA articles a definite benefit. Minimum 3 years' experience. 2 - 3 years practical experience, ideally in an operations environment. Experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or construction environment. Expert/ Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Salary: R240,000 to R420,000 per annum, negotiable on experience and qualifications. Apply Now
