Red Ember is looking for an inbound Travel Consultant who has experience with quotes and proposals for a local DMC in Cape Town. Duties:

Tour consultant experience at an intermediate level in an inbound tour-operating environment for a minimum of 3 years.
Experience with costings and quoting
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
Excel experience is an advantage.
Good product knowledge of Southern Africa.
Teamwork, and also being autonomous when required.
Office/administration skills.
Understanding of on-the-ground operations and excellent quality control.
Travel Diploma.
Good English communication verbal and written.

Key performance areas:

Build close relationships with Suppliers.
Rate negotiation and negotiate terms and conditions.
Booking accommodation, flights, allotments, and all other services as required.
Prepare Excel costings and re-quotes.
Ensuring high attention to detail is always maintained.
Focus on delivery excellence in customer service, internal and external (speed to replies/accuracy/creativity/file handling).
Assist with Cruise RFPs and proposals as required.
Create and update tracking documents.
Adhere to margin strategies as per company policy.
