Data Scientist - Johannesburg
Our client, a titan in the insurance industry is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to form part of their life and non-life insurance division team.

As a data scientist, you'll be instrumental in utilizing data to uncover valuable insights, guide strategic decisions, and optimize insurance operations across both life and non-life sectors. Collaborating closely with various teams, you'll craft inventive, data-centric solutions that tackle business hurdles and boost overall efficiency. The ideal candidate must be able to analyze intricate datasets, be involved in the full development cycle of machine learning and predictive models, develop business intelligence solutions and develop robust data pipelines and infrastructure for structured and unstructured data.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience working in the life and/or non-life insurance space
- Bachelor's degree in informatics, computer science, statistics etc.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Azure, Python and T-SQL
- Be able to effectively engage with relevant stakeholders such as actuaries
- Excellent understanding of statistical concepts, data modelling and design principles
