If so, Gijima Staffing Solutions has the perfect opportunity for you Main Purpose: Provide statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modelling, simulation, and optimisation to discover trends, opportunities, and threats. Communicate findings to business users to answer critical business questions. What you bring? Educational Foundation: A degree in applied statistics, mathematics, operational research, economics, data engineering, risk management, or equivalent industry training and experience. Advanced Degree: Honours or master's degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of 5 years in advanced analytics, model building, and optimization. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in data manipulation and analysis using SAS, SQL, or similar platforms, coupled with in-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI environments. Analytical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of advanced analytical techniques, including statistical methods, segmentation, experimental design, neural networks, data mining, and optimization techniques. Problem-Solving Savvy: Ability to tackle business problems with unknown variables and deliver innovative solutions. Big Data Ecosystems: Experience with Big Data ecosystems and advanced analytical platform skills is a plus. Curiosity and Courage: A deep curiosity and a strong desire to explore beneath the surface of problems. Courage to question assumptions and drive transformational change. Key Responsibilities: Innovate and Optimize: Utilize your advanced analytics skills to build and optimize models, enhancing business performance and decision-making. Data Mastery: Manipulate and analyze data using SAS, SQL, or equivalent analytical platforms to deliver actionable insights. Strategic Impact: Identify high-value business problems and address them through cutting-edge analytics solutions. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive change and influence organizational approaches to business challenges. Key Outcomes: Business Insights: Provide insights through statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modelling, simulation, and optimisation. Identify, explore, examine, integrate, and scrub data from multiple disparate sources to answer complex business questions. Design advanced analytics models to answer key business questions or discover opportunities for improvement, increased revenue, or reduced costs. Analyze model results, interpret findings, and communicate them in commercial terms to Business Users for clear business impact. Communicate analytical results confidently and clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Recommend solutions for creating revenue and reducing costs/loss based on model results. Run and automate regular reporting and operationalize successful models. Partnerships: Establish effective and collaborative partnerships with BI Analysts, Data Scientists, and Use Case Owners in the business. Work closely with Data Analysts to assist in answering complex business problems requiring statistical analysis. Regularly monitor internal and external customer needs and make appropriate recommendations. Stay current with retail industry, Business Intelligence, and data trends to support recommendations and generate value through continuous testing and learning. Stay updated with developments in advanced analytics and methodologies. IT Collaboration: Establish effective and collaborative partnerships with relevant business and IT teams, particularly the BI source systems. Stay updated with developments in advanced analytics technology and methodologies. Monitor and report on IT management's remediation of IT audit findings and IT risks. Contribute to the assessment and selection of IT GRC applications, solutions, and services.
