Company provides automation software solutions and managed services to the financial services industry - established Fintech Company A mature, experienced HR Manager with strong background in policies, procedures - drafting and implementing and aligning with changing labour laws. Grievance procedures, retrenchments, recruitment development procedures and policies, drafting of all policies. Restraint of trade procedures, Social Media Policies. Dealing at Exec level and constant monitoring of 10 Direct reports regarding all systems and constant education of staff regarding HR strategies/policies that are to be upheld and report back to EXCO. Familiar with strategic policies and procedures and aligning to Business Strategies. Strong operational type of leader, firm but fair. Responsibilities: Compliance - ensure Policy and Procedures are developed, implemented, reviewed and updated on a yearly basis or when laws require changes. Keeping all staff and EXCO informed. Ensure processes are delivering their intended outputs. Reporting on the BMS and opportunities for improvement to EXCO. Ability to draft HR policies and know how to implement a new HR policy. Recruitment and Selection: Create a Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Plan. Create all documents for Letters of Appointment/Warnings if not in place. Job descriptions, recruitment and selection. Familiar with employment contract terms and BCEA. Onboarding of new recruits and education/induction of new employees so that they are familiar with company policies and procedures. Files on all employees - physical and digital - leave, salary, start date, exit interviews - to be kept and updated. Files should also have Performance Appraisal records. Employee engagement plans together with budget approval. Employee Relations - have bi-annual meetings with managers to ensure that they identify poor performance issues timeously and that they are appropriately addressed: So as to resolve potential conflicts according to Labour Relation procedures. Disciplinary Action according to disciplinary code. Overseeing Employment Relations function and ensure overall compliance to Company Policy. Ensure diversity and culture awareness. Development and growth Re-evaluate/re-align departmental training plans as agreed in previous year. Determine HR Team effectiveness bi-annually by means of internal audit, spot checks or any other tools to ensure best practice. Promote training and development opportunities for critical skills areas. Ensure employees have a working personal plan and provide feedback on their development. Individual goals developed and are in line with team goals. Team effectiveness is assessed against best practice as well as best practice supervision and leading practices are applied. Talent Management and Support Assist Department Managers with processing Performance Reviews twice yearly. Needs analysis - based on outcomes of the above performance appraisals - implement necessary identified training plans - twice yearly and present to EXCO. Ensure HR Administrator books training effectiveness 3 months after training took place. Ensure Department Managers adhere to Recruitment Policies to ensure that Company upskills with each new employment. Review effectiveness of Onboarding and Induction program on a yearly basis. Ensure application of best HR Practices by all Managers, in recruitment, training and performance management. Spot Checks on Job Descriptions, Job Grading, Salary Scales and revert to EXCO. Collate the Exit Interview information report back to EXCO. Do Spot Checks on probation monitoring within the first 3/6 months of each new employee's term and make recommendations.
