Join a Leading Bank's Journey A leading bank in South Africa is calling for Salesforce enthusiasts to join us in a vital role that will carve our path forward. As a Delivery Lead, you will provide direction to IT teams responsible for the full product lifecycle to ensure successful delivery of all product features. You'll support ongoing tasks within our Business Bank Operations and oversee the drive to increase efficiency, optimization, innovation, and people development in environments. You'll be at the heart of our next leap in client service excellence in the financial sector. What You'll Do Technical Skills: Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development tools. Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Create new features and enhancements for existing Salesforce apps. Perform code reviews with developers within your team. Support the solution analysis to define optimal solutions. Enable testing team and review the testing standards for manual and automated testing. Design and support the development with integration solutions using technologies like MuleSoft, Informatica, or custom-built APIs. Maintain the codebase, ensuring consistency with the overall application architecture of the Salesforce platform. Contribute to the overall integration strategy for connecting Salesforce with other systems (both internal and external). Knowledge of integrating Salesforce with other technologies. Document current and future states in terms of functional/technical specifications, data integration, and data migration. Detailed understanding of the DevOps process and tooling. Evaluate integration tools, middleware, and APIs to ensure seamless data flow. Map business requirements to Salesforce capabilities and decide when custom solutions (config or development) are necessary. Utilize domain-driven design, platform engineering, event-driven architecture, and DevOps practices. Lead technical design sessions, create user stories, and develop technical solution documentation aligned with business objectives. Demonstrate Salesforce thought leadership by educating team members and stakeholders on best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional solution architecture alignment to architect Salesforce solutions as part of a consolidated tech stack. Data Modeling and Governance: Create data models that align with business requirements and best practices. Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across Salesforce and integrated systems. Establish data governance policies and processes. Comply with all data governance standards and controls. API Development: Develop custom APIs (REST, SOAP, or GraphQL) for data exchange. Optimize API performance and security. Monitor API usage and troubleshoot issues. Security and Compliance: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for integrations. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, POPIA). System Change Management: Plan and execute data migrations between systems. Manage version control and deployment of integration components. Soft Skills and People Management: Communicate with and lead the team to understand the product-led business model and promote the most effective ways of work. Manage team members' day-to-day work, leave, challenges, and prioritize and delegate tasks to optimize efficiencies. Oversee adherence to internal systems/business analysis/quality standards, SDLC, architecture standards, agreed SLAs, operational and IT risk practices, financial and procurement standards. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and participate in interviewing candidates to support the Software Development Manager with recruitment. Build a cohesive team and create an environment emphasizing learning and development through coaching and mentoring. Delegate authority and responsibility in line with business objectives to empower and motivate team members. Encourage team collaboration and communication via effective frameworks and routines. Create a culture of collaboration, supportiveness, ownership, and accountability. Provide on-the-job training and practical skills development for team members. Liaise with Centres of Excellence for functional and technical development and encourage participation in Communities of Practice. Embed values and culture objectives in the team; create an engaging, enabling, and productive work climate aligned with the employee value proposition. Promote team collaboration and innovation, sharing knowledge, tools, code, and practices. Assist the Software Development Manager with talent review sessions and succession planning. Perform goal plan contracts and performance evaluations, including regular one-on-one feedback sessions, and mid-year and final performance reviews. Assist the Software Development Manager with calibration to ensure fair performance assessments. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain an in-depth understanding of the product, strategic objectives, and business objectives. Plan and execute actions to improve stakeholder engagement and education. Address stakeholder queries/questions regarding software/technology effectively and efficiently. Create practices to ensure understanding of the core business need driving product requirements. Prepare formal communication/feedback to stakeholders on requests and activities. Serve as a central point of contact for the team, ensuring clear and concise communications to stakeholders. Accountabilities: Provide support to the Software Development Manager in managing 3rd party service providers. Communicate timelines to the team and 3rd parties. Monitor progress against agreed timelines. Address/rectify non-progress and provide continuous feedback to the Product Owner. Ensure contracted delivery meets agreed-upon expectations without errors. Oversee adherence to quality standards during all SDLC phases. Make decisions for the team and translate the product roadmap into a team roadmap. Coordinate and facilitate ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives) and processes. Balance supply-side demand and business-side demand for sustainable product delivery. Agree on product goals/targets with the Product Manager and Software Development Manager. Ensure system availability according to pre-defined SLAs. Monitor uptime against contracted SLA and address/rectify non-adherence. Provide continuous feedback to the business. Manage major incidents and breaches timeously. Qualifications (Minimum): Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational. 5 years working as a Salesforce Technical Expert with relevant Salesforce Certifications. Experience with DevSecOps. Management and team lead experience Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred): Certifications in AWS Architecture. Salesforce FSC Specialist Certification. nCINO Certifications.
