We are seeking a Development Project Manager with a strong background in energy wheeling projects and a deep understanding of the South African renewable energy landscape. What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) As a Development Project Manager, you will oversee the pre-construction phase of renewable energy projects, ensuring that all aspects such as land readiness, environmental regulations, and Eskom's requirements are met before moving to the construction stage. Your role will involve coordinating with regulatory bodies, managing budgets, and obtaining necessary approvals to ensure projects are green-flagged for construction. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to navigate challenges and contribute to driving impactful renewable energy initiatives. What you'll need You hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or related fields, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in renewable energy project management, specifically focused on pre-construction phases. Experience in ensuring project readiness for construction, aligning with environmental regulations, and budget management is essential. A PMP certificate would be advantageous, along with solid knowledge of the South African energy market and its regulatory frameworks. Your strong communication skills and ability to manage complex processes will be key to success in this role.
