Our client, a leader in the Telecommunication Data Centre industry, is currently looking for a Electrical Design Engineer to be based in Fourways. The Electrical Design Engineer will effectively deliver on large sized projects and undertake to grow towards being an internal ‘expert' with client facing roles in the development, design, and co-ordination of engineering projects and ensure the delivery of data center and mission critical projects within Africa. Driving or supporting the design of the electrical building systems and ensuring the operational integrity thereof. You will be supported by the Director of Engineering, a professional engineer. Driving or supporting the development of appropriate building energy strategies and sustainability. strategies for buildings, including communicating, in addition to having robust technical knowledge relevant to building services design, and capable of incorporating those technologies into the data center sector. Developing, encouraging or supporting sustainable building design on projects pushing the boundaries for data center design. BEng/BSc degree in Electrical Engineering. 3 years' experience working on Date Centre Build Projects. Building services. Min 5 years' relevant plant operation experience. Min 5 years' significant Data Centre commissioning and acceptance experience. Candidate or Engineer status with ECSA . Registered Certified Data Centre Design Professional or UTI Tier Designer. Experience in MV and LV electrical systems and related switchgear.
