Minimum requirements:

Diploma / BSc / Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience with Solar preferred
Ability to travel
Driver's license and own vehicle

Duties include:

Solar System Design and Engineering:

Lead and design solar power systems (PV arrays, inverters, storage, electrical distribution)
Develop and review technical specs, drawings, and calculations
Ensure compliance with local solar energy regulations and standards

Leadership:

Mentor and support team members
Set departmental goals aligned with the company's vision
Promote innovation and collaboration

Project Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with project managers on plans, schedules, and budgets
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth execution
Conduct technical reviews and feasibility assessments

Technical Expertise and Standards:

Stay updated on solar energy trends and best practices
Apply knowledge of solar PV systems and grid integration
Ensure compliance with industry standards and local utility guidelines

Quality Assurance and Performance Optimization:

Implement quality assurance processes for solar installations
Conduct inspections, audits, and testing
Analyze system performance and propose improvements

Vendor and Supplier Management:

Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
Negotiate contracts for equipment and materials
Assess vendor performance and resolve issues

Regulatory Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement:

Stay informed on relevant solar energy regulations and incentives
Ensure compliance with permitting and utility requirements
Engage with regulatory authorities and stakeholders

Proposal / Tenders:

System sizing, initial costing, design, and proposal development

Design Documentation:

Develop invoices, site visit documentation, bills of materials, and various layout diagrams

Execution Documentation:

Prepare commissioning sheets, as-built drawings, datasheets, warranties, and compliance certificates

After Sales:

Provide operation and maintenance (O&M) support, yield reports, and ensure customer satisfaction

Programs (Software):

PV Syst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, Visio
