Key Requirements: 6-8 years of hands-on experience as a Finance Manager within the Logistics industry. Completed SAICA articles. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and trends, providing insights into financial performance. Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and recommendations. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and management. Monitor budgetary performance and analyze deviations from the budget. Financial Strategy and Planning: Provide strategic financial guidance to the management team, aligning financial goals with the company's overall objectives. Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions. Develop financial models and scenarios to assess potential risks and opportunities. Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including SAICA requirements and other relevant legislation. Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and processes. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations. Optimize working capital through effective management of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Monitor banking activities and relationships, ensuring optimal banking terms and services. Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor finance department staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional development. Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. Promote continuous improvement in financial processes and systems, leveraging technology where applicable.
