A commercial property company is looking for a Finance Manager who will be solely responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization and ensuring its financial health and stability. The primary role is to provide financial guidance and support to the company's management team and stakeholders. Oversee financial planning analysis by developing and implementing financial strategies, forecasts and budgets to achieve the company's financial goals. Conduct financial analysis, evaluate financial performance and identify areas of improvement. Financial reporting: prepare accurate and timely financial reports. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Budget Management: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and monitor budget performance. Provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and cost control. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the organization has adequate funds for daily operations and future investments. Implement effective cash management strategies and monitor cash flow projections. Financial Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, such as market fluctuations, credit risks, and operational risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets. Financial Decision Making: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior management. Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial initiatives. Stakeholder Communication: Present financial information and analysis to stakeholders, including executives, board members, investors, and auditors. Interpret financial data and provide explanations to non-financial professionals. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, including accountants, financial analysts, and other staff members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies. Coordinate and support external audits and assist with the preparation of audit schedules and documentation. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in financial regulations. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy. A minimum of 3 – 5 years of working in the property industry A minimum of 5 – 10 years managerial experience A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, A postgraduate's degree or professional certification, e.g., CA(SA), SAIPA or CIMA is preferential Strong financial analysis and modelling skills Detail oriented and analytical Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, and experience in MDA is advantageous Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office applications Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong leadership and team management skills Apply Now
