Job Title: Financial Accountant Location: Cape Town Job Type: Full-time Job Overview: RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our client's growing team. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You will work closely with senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Conduct internal audits to identify potential risks and implement controls to mitigate them Collaborate with external auditors to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting processes Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve financial processes and systems Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Benefits: Medical Aid Retirement Benefits RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
